We create theatre out of seemingly diametrically opposed forces: our work is both entertaining and unusual, funny and tragic.

Needy Lover makes live performances that are funny, propulsive, bizarre, and tragic. Founded in December 2022, we have since curated and produced the Syrup and Candy New Play Reading Series (a summer-long weekly showing of 8 new plays), MEGA Theater (an in-progress theater/performance showcase), 93.6 Days of Summer (a summer-long social media experience), in addition to multiple staged readings of new plays.
